The short answer

The South Sinai table dated 10 March 2026 lists Old Market–Naama Bay EGP 6, Nabq 14, airport 11, Montaza 13.50 and Hadaba 6. These are route fares, not whole-vehicle hire prices. Confirm direction and the actual drop-off before boarding.

City shared minibuses, not private transfers, intercity coaches or taxis. Checked against the official PDF; no later confirmed table was found in the reviewed sources.

The original channel account

In January 2024 I described local shared minibuses hailed by hand; subsequent posts carried fare updates. That experience still helps explain riding, while 2024–2025 prices are replaced by the published 2026 table. A vehicle’s appearance or general route does not guarantee its final destination.

Finding a vehicle and checking direction

The author’s local experience is to hail a shared minibus from a safe roadside position. Do not board on appearance alone: name the destination and show it on a map. Keep the hotel or landmark name in Arabic for unfamiliar addresses.

Ask whether it is direct, requires a transfer and where to catch the return. Road dividers and junctions can make the reverse journey different. If offered a special drop-off, establish whether it remains a normal shared-seat trip.

Sestruha explains: Confirm Nabq before boarding, rather than arguing after the turn.

Official shared-minibus fares
Taxi and private-transfer prices are different tables, not shared-seat fares.

Official shared-minibus fares

The table below is transcribed from page one of the official six-page PDF. It separately covers city routes, intercity routes and whole-vehicle hire; these must not be mixed. Only Sharm’s internal-route section is used here.

Old Market–Naama 6; Nabq 14; airport 11; Montaza 13.50; Hadaba 6. Mobil–Rowaysat 10; Rowaysat 469 units 11; Wadi Mandar 28; new Traffic Department 11. All fares are EGP.

Paying and requesting your stop

Carry small EGP notes, confirm the fare for your segment, state passenger count and check change. Establish whether you are buying a shared seat or a private trip first. If a requested fare differs from the published table, ask why before travelling.

Follow the map and request the stop early, at a safe permitted location. Do not request a stop on a junction or step into moving traffic. A local landmark may be clearer than a hotel hidden inside a large resort.

Sestruha explains: Confirm route and fare first; prepare for the stop early.

Airport trips, luggage and electric buses

The airport row does not establish terminal-door access. Confirm drop-off, remaining walking distance and space for a large suitcase before boarding. For a night flight or strict check-in deadline, compare against a confirmed transfer.

News about electric buses does not give a microbus their schedule or fare. A particular full-size bus needs its own current route, stops and payment rules. No fixed shared-minibus headway is promised here without a verified timetable.

Sestruha explains: Ask for the actual drop-off: towards the airport and at the terminal can differ.

Frequently asked questions

Is Naama–Nabq the same fare as Old Market–Nabq?

Do not infer an unlisted segment from another row. Confirm that specific segment.

Can I bring a large suitcase?

It depends on the vehicle and space. Agree placement and any service/fare change before boarding, keeping doors and aisles clear.

Is there a minute-by-minute timetable?

No verified universal city-microbus timetable was established. Allow margin and check an alternative for flight connections.

Why do travel sites list other prices?

They may describe another date, private hire or a negotiated trip. This page uses the official dated city-route table.
